This is a space for storytelling and community. At its core are Super Humans, extraordinary people whose courage, resilience, and creativity inspire me every day. Their stories fuel my own growth and remind me how individual actions can ripple outward to create meaningful social impact.
What began as a personal journey to overcome self-doubt has grown into a platform to showcase others, celebrate their achievements, and amplify voices that inspire positive change. Through this Ripple Community, we create opportunities for connection, collaboration, and collective action, where stories don’t just inspire, they spark tangible impact in communities.
Thank you for being here. Keep reading, and stay tuned for more Super Humans, inspiring features, and community meet-ups where we can connect, collaborate, and drive change together.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Adele.
I grew up in the Philippines, where I quickly learned the value of education and the power of community. When I immigrated to Canada in 2014, I had to start over—repeating high school, navigating unfamiliar systems, and finding my voice in a new language and culture. Confidence didn’t come easily, and for nearly a decade, I often felt unsure of where to turn or how to express myself.
Through that uncertainty, I discovered resilience. Over time, I built support systems I could rely on and found the encouragement I needed to grow. Today, I’m grateful for where I am and excited for what lies ahead.
Growing up in a country where poverty, limited access to clean water, sanitation, and quality education were everyday realities, shaped how I see the world. It fuels my commitment to learning, service, and giving back. During university, I earned a scholarship for community commitment and academic excellence, reinforcing my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, even without a roadmap.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with a double major in Literature & Critical Theory and Environmental Studies. Since then, I’ve travelled to over 30 countries, working and volunteering in places like Myanmar, Romania, and Uganda. My work has focused on sustainability, community development, and advocacy aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Professionally, I’ve led programs, events, and fundraising initiatives across the globe, from hurricane relief in St. Maarten to supporting women entrepreneurs in Uganda, to environmental cleanups in Thailand, Spain, and Toronto. Much of this work has been independent, guided by the belief that meaningful impact begins with action. I also mentor young people and newcomers, helping them realize their potential, build confidence, develop communication and public speaking skills, and navigate careers as a Certified Employment Strategist.
I’m a PMP-certified Project Manager, trained in globally recognized practices (PMI): planning, executing, and delivering programs effectively while keeping people, community, and impact at the centre. I approach my work as a servant leader, prioritizing the growth, well-being, and empowerment of those I serve while driving meaningful outcomes.
I’m an ENFJ-A (MBTI), a personality type known for leadership, empathy, and connection. I’m energized by helping people grow, building communities, and creating environments where everyone feels seen and supported. Whether mentoring, volunteering, or leading initiatives, my focus is always on meaningful, tangible impact.
Meaningful change happens when people come together, stories are shared, support is offered, and spaces are created for growth. I bring this vision to life through The Ripple Room, hosting events like “Walk & Talk” sessions for women to connect, share ideas, and grow together.
This blog began in 2019 as a personal space for reflection and connection. It has grown alongside me, reflecting the many lives I’ve lived through experience and learning, and reminding me there’s still so much ahead.
My story is one of perseverance, curiosity, and quiet grit—the kind you build not just in big moments, but in the everyday ones when no one is watching. I strive to create spaces where people, ideas, and communities can thrive.
Thank you for being here.
